Photos of Frozen Bubbles


Photographer Angela Kelly took benefit of the freezing conditions by blowing bubbles and taking photos of the stunning results for her series named "Frozen in a Bubble". Although some of the smaller sized bubbles was frozen in mid-air and would crash to the floor, shattering on impact, others were able to preserve their structure and form sections of ice crystals.

Sixteenth Century Strongbox - Cool Picture Of The Day


Reported by several tumblr blogs, the following picture presents a strongbox manufactured in Nuremberg in around 1540. It is crafted from sheets of forged iron riveted together.

Elaborate lock mechanism with two secret locks. On the front a concealed key hole with secret release device. The inside with intricately worked locking mechanism, which reveals the central strap of the lid. On the front a second secret mechanism: when a rivet is turned, a double latch is moved.
The lid with elaborate locking mechanism with four catches. All lock parts are finely chiselled and fastened by decorative rivets. Size 16 x 10 x 9,5 cm.

Pin-Ups In Milk Dresses


Making use of high-speed photography methods, photographer Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz has set up extraordinary pin-ups, taking snapshots of the models just when milk is all over them to provide the impression of outfit. The exact pictures are actually for a 2014 "Milky Pin-Ups Calendar" which will be for sale in November.
